We're underway with a new project here at Mirzam Games after a rocky year! Our working title for the game is Everything Has a Face. It will be a platformer made using Gamemaker Studio 2, and released on itch.io via html5 format to make it as available to everyone as possible!
Keep an eye out for more details as they come forth! but for now, enjoy some of our paper concept sketches:
Say hello to Nasrin, a romanceable NPC in the upcoming game Linmeadow Relics! Nasrin will be one of six party members who may accompany the player character in this short adventure game.
Developed for Yuri Game Jam, this game will have a prototype finished by October 31st, 2016.
Other notes: The Curse of Talon Cyphyr placed 127th overall in GameBoy Jam 5, ranking well in sound, graphics, and Gameboy Feel. Version 1.2 of the game is now available for play in-browser as an HTML5 game, or as a downloadable executable file.
If you have not yet had a chance to try it out, have a look over on itch.io!
Coming up soon, look forward to more updates about Linmeadow Relics as the game develops! This adventure game will feature a customizeable player character as the protagonist, with gameplay affected by player choices and making alternative outcomes possible.
An updated version of the game has been made available, now in HTML5. This version includes the rest of the music composed for the game, and level content that was not finished in time for the GBJam 5 deadline of October 9th. A third and final release will be made available by Saturday, October 15. We will also be releasing a .zip file album with all of the music tracks from the game!
In the meantime, we have begun development on a game for Yuri Game Jam, which will be featuring a customizeable protagonist and her adventures with six friends in a fantasy adventure. Updates will be posted periodically, so check back for more information later!

Stay tuned for more from the Heralds of Fun! Mirzam Games - Over and Out.
Hey everybody! Exciting updates this week! First of all, GBJam 5 has concluded as of Sunday, October 9th at 10pm PST / 1am EST US time. Congrats to the 484 entrants! That's a lot of games!
The Curse of Talon Cyphyr v 1.0 is currently up here, on itch.io! Updated versions of the game will be uploaded by the end of the week with a fully playable version that will be included in the browser for ease of play. (Currently you must download the game to play it!)
READ: the game has also found a home on itch.io! If you were unable to play the game previously due to its executable format, it is now available in html5 format for easy play inside your web-browser.
Stay tuned, as we are also developing a game for Yuri Game Jam 2016 (ending on October 31st)! More updates to come with information as the project continues its development.
Heralds of Fun, over and out!
So, it's about the half-way point of GBJam 5 (running from Oct 1 to 9 2016) and we're getting pretty close to done with the gameplay and visual elements of The Curse of Talon Cyphyr!
I am livetweeting here and there as I slip in work on the project, and Danny has been helping out with debugging the code when issues crop up.
We're really excited to share this project once it's completed. Hopefully it will be functional in HTML 5 format-- meaning that it can be played in web-browsers, instead of requiring players to download an executable this time.
Right on the heels of this project is Yuri Game Jam, which also started October 1st! I have some ideas, but for now I'm focused on the GBJam's tighter visual limitations and deadline.
Look forward to the release of The Curse of Talon Cyphyr, and if you're interested in checking out GBJam 5, head on over to the itch.io page here to learn about the limitations of the project, or the host's Kickstarter (ends at the end of October 2016!) for future GBJam hosting on an official site!
(Yuri Jam details are here, for the curious! There's still time...!)
Posted on June 28th to Philome.la for hosting! The game has been re-uploaded with fixes to all currently reported bugs or issues. Please contact us if you discover anything that seems like an error or mistake!

We're looking forward to joining in on this Game Jam! Are you looking for a project? Do you care about LGBTQIAP+ representation in games? Do you just really like sweets and candy? If you said yes to any or all of those, you should check out that link!
The short and sweet version: FemHype is running a Game Jam starting tonight and running until April 30th to encourage people to make video games of any kind and caliber that focus on queer relationships and tasty, sugary-- well, sweets!
We have a lot of ideas, but in the spirit of the jam's rules we've been holding off on any serious work beyond fervent brainstorming until now. Tonight's going to be the start of something super fun! We hope you'll consider checking us out along the way, or maybe even joining in the Game Jam if you decide that you want to make an entry of your own!
An updated version of Read: the game is now available for download!
This version has had the following bugs fixed:
-Restarting properly resets your score to 0
-Players can now jump from moving platforms even while descending
-Players should no longer be stuck in the Jump animation when jumping short distances
-Players now cannot be trapped in the platforms in the final room of the game
Download the updated version of the game here!
Installer and .zip versions of the game will be made available upon request if the .exe download is causing trouble for too many people. Let us know!
-Cannot jump from moving platforms when they are going down (fixes currently in testing)
-Score does not reset if you use Restart (fix implemented for next release)
-in one room, moving platforms can push the player into a stationary platform and get them stuck there (fix implemented for next release)
-When jumping, sometimes Olivia remains in the jump animation after landing and doesn't return to another animation until another jump is performed (still under investigation)
Release 1/16/2016 - READ the game!
Play as Olivia the eyeball! She likes to read as much as possible and after work each day tries to catch a book or two before she hits the hay. Help her catch a few more stories before she has to go to bed!
What is it: A short 2D platformer with 24 different possible endings! PC platformer for Windows systems.
